I hope I’m getting in just in
time for a quick last minute entry for the heart challenges that are around a
lot of the challenge blogs right now!
Firstly apologies for the photographs – they are not up to my usual standard because I can’t stand up to photograph them! I will get DH to take a couple of new shots for me later so you can see the depth of the hearts, if you want to! The hearts that are hanging from the red string are actually three layers deep. I can’t remember where I saw this, so apologies, I tried the technique of layering three shapes together to make it look like a chipboard piece – my foam pads are too deep and it’s not worked as well as I would have liked so will try again once I get less deep foam pads.
A couple of weeks I was extremely lucky to win a set of stamps – yes real stamps lol! I was overjoyed and let out a whooping yippee and as per usual DH jumped and Eddy the Dog barked a lot!
The reason for so much joy was the stamp set is called a Stitch In Time and is made by Oak House Studio and I knew it would work beautifully with one of my Christmas presents which was the Sizzix Tim Holtz Bigz Tailor’s Dummy Die which also came with three stitching embossing border folders – there are stitches, buttons and lots of hearts on this set and I’m looking forward to making a lot of different flowers from the hearts.
To see how these stamps were used and why I am so excited about them follow one or all of the links below to see some gorgeous creations by Lynnda (owner) and Barbara Daines who is a member of the new DT at Oak House Studios:

5"x7" card
Three of the hearts used for this border and the stitching is so cute too!
The heart 'baubles'
A Kanban sentiment
A final look
I did finish DH’s card in
time and he loved it. I have
photographed it and will share at some point soon. But I think the style, design and colours I
used on DH’s card is why I made this card so CAS in style. I have to admit though that I do love that
Scandinavian style of card and I know this isn’t that style but I am trying it
out to see if I like it and how CAS I will be happy to go.
Thank you so much for taking
the time to visit and comment on my blog.
I really do appreciate it and hope to visit you again soon. Hope you’re having a lovely weekend!
