I’ve made too many red love themed
cards over the past couple few weeks lol!
I’ve put my Barn Door ink pad away for a while. As much as I enjoyed making love and valentine
themed cards I got a bit bored of the theme.
I love the CWC Candi heart
but he didn’t! It took me a while to
stick foam pads to the back of those Candis and then I had to take the top
layer off and stick them in position – but he didn’t like it.
Then I made, what I thought,
was a gorgeous kraft card and red heart valentine – too brown for him! In fact he didn’t like any of the cards I
made for the challenges at that point and I seriously started to think about going
out and buying a card. I’ve not
purchased a card for more than 10 years – but that was how desperate I was at
one point lol!
Because I was sorting out my
old stash and stuff I finally had an idea!
I wasn’t sure if I could pull it off though, very clean, no way could I
hide any mistakes and had to be patient and wait for the ink to completely dry
before putting those chipboard hearts anywhere near that pristine white card
and before I forget I want to share that card.
Now there is a very cute
little crochet heart there. The card
didn’t look right with two heart embellishments. It needed a third heart which is a small one
– and I cannot crochet! Vicki, aka Blush
Crafts, had a giveaway on her blog and I was one of the lucky recipients – four
gorgeous crochet hearts. When they
arrived and DH saw them and said ‘They’re cute. You won’t use them’. I have used one on his valentine card. I will use the rest but on projects I get to
keep!
I knew exactly how I wanted the
card to look and unusually, this time, it turned out exactly how I wanted it to
look! Quite CAS but elegant and classy, well
at least I think so!
Enough waffle here
is 2013’s final Valentine card … … …

A final look.
I’ve made quite a few cards
the last couple of days – found a tonne of images that had been coloured and
ready to use – so you will be seeing some of them over the next week or so!
I’m really hoping I can make
it to card club tomorrow night. When my
back is bad and the RA is flare I have to take more medications and that can
affect my driving. Because my back was
damaged in two previous car accidents (we were rear ended twice) I won’t take
any risks to myself or more importantly to any other person! Enough of that whining lol!
Thank you for taking the time
to visit and comment on my blog – I really do appreciate it! Hopefully I will be able to catch up with
everyone this week – hope you are having a good one! I’ll be back later on this week with some new
Design Team creations!
