This is the last one I hope, 2012 Xmas card ... ... ...

Slowly and steadily my back is improving which is so good!  I’ve caught a virus of some description – there just seems to be so much going around at the moment and as per usual with my suppressed immune system I catch a blooming stomach virus.

Thankfully not as bad as the noro (not sure how it is spelt lol?) virus that has hit a lot of the country but debilitating nonetheless!  I’ll probably not be around much for the next week or so – I’m really hoping it will disappear as quickly as it appeared and I’ve not made much since before Christmas because I’m feeling dodgy.

Once over this bug I’ll be making Christmas cards again, but nowhere near as frantically as I did at the beginning of last year.  I’ve used at least 95% of the toppers that were in my stash.  I want try to make more toppers myself.  I’ll either make a tea bag folded embellishment or will stamp, rubber or digital, and colour and combine them with the gorgeous die cuts that came in a CWC goody bag.  Whether I can manage to do it or not is another matter lol!

I have plenty of Joanna Sheen’s CD’s and specialist printer paper I can use if I can’t manage to stamp or make an embellishment!

Enough waffle onto the reason why I am here today with, I hope, a shortish and sweetish post!  This is the Christmas card I made for DH.  I think it’s the last Christmas card I made that was waiting to be blogged.

I want to enter the following challenges:
http://sundaysketchandstamp.blogspot.co.uk/ #137 is a free sketch choice – because I was ill for #135 I used and followed the sketch exactly and him indoors liked it – not too busy or too fluffy, apparently lol!
http://abcchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/ #20 Sparkle.  Because it is for DH I could not add much sparkle – a little at Christmas is allowed!
http://cardmaniachallenges.blogspot.co.uk/ CMC#11 Winter Wonderland – not sure if this falls within the ‘brief’ but you can’t get more winter wonderland with papers that are covered with snowflakes!
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge.blogspot.co.uk #105 Show a Christmas card which had not been previously blogged.
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge2.blogspot.co.uk/ #1 Anything Goes as long as it is Christmas.

http://natalieandamy.blogspot.co.uk/ Your Favourite Things - Christmas cards, polka dot ribbon and snowflakes!

And here is the card … …
8" square Christmas card for my DH.

I'm determined that I'm going to use up at least one of the two boxes of CWC Candi!

A final look!
I did crumble, I ended up not putting away the two different packs of Stampin Up card – I’ve used it all and am so blooming glad that I at least managed to use those two packs of card during the past year!
I will be doing an update of my 2012 use it up pledge once I feel a better.  One thing to share is that I’ve pledged to myself no purchasing of papers, ribbons or CWC Candi for the next few months at the very least!

Hope you are all healthy, warm and safe!
I’ll try to visit everyone this weekend!
Have a happy, good and crafty weekend
ttfn Karen x

beautiful card Karen - and thanks for your kind offer of peeloffs for the girls - I think, however, that mummy has more than enough of the things to keep us all going forever!!!! Hope you're feeling better soon! Big Hugs Rachel xx

Hope your back continues to improve Karen & the stomach bug disappears too.

DH's Christmas card is great, pretty much perfect for mostguys I would say.

I am so very impressed & proud of your UIU achievements over the last year, you have done so well. I sadly didn't accomplish as much as I would have hoped but it certainly helped me focus on not buying & I want to carry that through to 2013 as well. Keep up the good work using up the stash sweetie. Hugs xx
