The lovely Clare, see here
http://mypurrfectworldccc.blogspot.co.uk/, asked me if I would be interested in joining the Christmas
Card Club. We had a good old chat and
yes I'm on board. I’m attempting to ensure
that I have all of our day to day Christmas cards made before the end of
September and the special family and friend cards made by the end of
November - whether I manage to do so or not - we'll have to see. I tried to do this last
year! I managed to get the day to day
Christmas cards finished in time but the special family and friend cards I
seriously struggled to get made, finished and mailed in time. So this year I’m going to try and make sure
that I keep up with my creating Christmas cards throughout the year.
This is my first Christmas card club posting and Clare, huni, thank you so very much for introducing me to some lovely new friends and for inviting me to become part of the Christmas Card Club!
Anyways our theme for this challenge is no background paper shriek! I love my papers I do and I thought this was going to be a really tough challenge. In the end I actually really enjoyed it lol! I hope to be making some more one layers this year - cheap postage lol!
I used a branch stamp that I’ve owned for year. I cannot figure out where it came from – no print on the wooden mount! The bauble is from my new Papermania Christmas stamps – really loving using these baubles right now. The ‘Deck the Halls’ stamp was a freebie from a magazine.
These cards are small so I decided not to add an insert into them – I’ve used some peel off sentiments inside that were in my 2012 Use It Up stash.
I’m using myAdirondack ink pads right now because
I’ve had them a while. Because of my love of Tim Holz DIP's I had forgotten them. So I've taken these out and put away my DIP's for the moment.
I often like to 'stamp and then draw the colour out' with a damp paintbrush. These will all go into a large box and I'll divide them between mum and us in October lol simples!
I would like to enter these
cards into the following challenges:
