Mum's Christmas card #2 ... ... ...

I can’t move because the fibromyalgia in my back is causing spasms and is also flaring right now.  I'm also having issues with my RA.  I think we'll have to cancel Christmas - Christmas 2013!  Both of us are rough as hell right now.  I'm very grateful that 90% of these posts were photographed, typed and scheduled before Christmas!
I hope we will win big on the Lotto next year!  We’ll either go to a posh hotel, that allows dogs, or hire a chef to do the cooking, and some organisers and cleaners to do the clearing and cleaning for us!  Yeah right as if that would ever happen to us lol!
There must be a way to have Christmas that isn't so much hard work or cause a person so much stress!
Here's the second card I made for mum, from me and DH.  When my friend Helen she sees this I think she will think I have CASE’d the Christmas card she made us.  I've not done that Helen -  great minds think alike hun!
I have several OLC and CAS Christmas cards that are not finished.  Whilst making those OLC cards the idea for this one popped into my head as being fabulous for mum.
I prefer Helen's card because, in my opinion or to my eye, Helen's is so much prettier.
This card was made specifically for mum which meant: bright, colourful and heavily embellished lol!
I love my mum but I do wish she liked CAS cards a lot more lol!
I'm sure Helen will show the card on her blog sometime soon so I won’t show it here, anyways you will compare mine to Helen's and you will see it's so much more beautiful and elegant!

I want to enter this card into the following challenges:
http://letscreatechallenges.blogspot.co.uk/ Buttons this is the card I meant to enter and not the other one that was made for my mum.  I'm having multiple blonde moments right now lol!
http://cardsgalorechallenges.blogspot.co.uk/ December theme is Christmas
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge.blogspot.com/ you can enter with a Christmas card you have not yet blogged about or a Christmas card for 2013.  I'll try to enter Hazels challenges when possible to make sure I continue creating Christmas cards every week at least
http://paper-craftingjourney.blogspot.co.uk/ Anything Goes - this is my second entry into this challenge which I only recently found

Here is the card … … …
 8" square card
I do love the 'wreath' element of this card even though it is busy!
I stamped the holly leaves on the inside of a Spellbinder Nestability Circle Die and
then again about 2cm away on the outside.

Petaloo flower (LHS) and CWC flower (RHS)

One of the filigree end caps with three decorative pins.
I opted to use green Stickles Glitter Glue on the two leaves.
I attached a red organza bow to the filigree cap and
attached the cap to the card with Pinflair Glue Gel.

Close up photographs of the details.
 Side view.
 Inside.

A final look.

To me this card is completely OTT and definitely not my current style.  However, Mum loved it, which is the important thing!  Another bonus is that it turned out to be a great stash buster too!

Thank you very much for visiting and commenting on my blog I really appreciate it!
Not many more Christmas cards to go lol!
Hope you’re having a good week
ttfn Karen x

Beautiful card Karen - like you say great minds think alike :-)! So glad you like my card, but guess what, I forgot to take any pics in the rush of getting all my cards finished for Christmas... Doh!! Did you blog the card you made for me and I've missed it? You need to get it up if not as it is stunning! I've just found the box and am going to make a comment. How long is it since I've been able to catch up with blogs - embarrassing!!! Anyway, thank you for such beautiful hand crafted card and gift and thanks for popping in. Hope you doing much better. Love Hxxx
